Back Pain

PAIN - Your body's warning system...
Pain of any kind is not normal.  If you are experiencing back pain then there is a good chance that you have a subluxation and you should see a chiropractor.  Anyone can have a subluxation... a new born baby, a child, a teenager, an adult or a senior citizen.

Most people go to their dentist, their eye doctor, etc. for regular checkups, yet don't know enough to have their spine checked.  The spine carries your bodies messages through its never system telling every part of your body what to do in exact quality and quantity. You are only as healthy as your spine!   Pain is caused by subluxation and from spinal degeneration.

Your Spine Makeup...
Your spine is made up of bones and soft tissue that work together to help you move.  If one or more of the parts of your spine aren't doing their share, your spine may not be able to work as it should, which can lead to a subluxation (the first stage of spinal degeneration).

Causes of Back Pain...
The most common cause of back pain is directly linked to a
subluxation caused by:

Congenital problems

Poor Posture
Poor posture or repeated movements can set you up for spinal degeneration because you are frequently stressing the same area of your spine.  Poor posture can include any number of things; e.g. holding the telephone by your ear using your shoulder, the way you stand, the way you sit, the way you sleep, etc.

Trauma
A jolt to any area of the spine or an injury during an accident sets the stage for spinal degeneration by severely straining the spine's structures (bones, disc, ligaments and muscles).  Trauma (major or minor) may result from any number of things including a fall, a bump on the head, whiplash, sports injury, accident, etc.

Congenital Problems
Spinal problems you may have had from birth may make you more susceptible to spinal degeneration because your spine structures have been stressed from the beginning.

Your Lifestyle
Personal habits may speed-up spinal degeneration.  If you are overweight you are constantly putting overloaded pressure on your spinal structure.  If you work long hours without taking breaks you may not be nourishing your spine with necessary movement or rest.
