Causes of Sciatica...
Injury or inflammation of the sciatic nerve can cause pain which
travels down the leg from the thigh and into the foot and toes. Sciatica may be
caused by back injury, irritation from arthritis of the spine or from pressure on the
nerve at various points along the nerve way. Pain of the sciatica may also be caused
by an abnormal bulging or protrusion of a disc in the lower back (slipped disc), which may
press on the spinal nerve root of the sciatic nerve.
Creekside Chiropractic can help!
The doctors at Creekside Chiropractic are educated and trained in
the detection and care of problems affecting the spinal column. Often sciatica cases
lend themselves to effective correction through a chiropractic treatment program. An
adjustment of the lower spine can help reduce stress on the spinal discs, alleviate joint
slippage and adhesions, lubricate the joint surfaces and restore mobility to the joints
eliminating nerve pressure caused by movement dysfunction. Additionally, our doctors
can advise you on therapeutic exercises, posture control and a complete program of
chiropractic care.
